Dr. Debashis Misra

Dr. Debashis Misra is a young and dynamic Gastroenterologist from Kolkata. He specialises in Diagnostic Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Therapeutic Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, ERCP, Endoscopic Dilatation, Variceal Ligation and Sclerotherapy and Endoscopic Hemostasis. His special interest lies in Clinical Gastroenterology, Therapeutic Endoscopy and advanced Endoscopic procedures.

Dr. Misra completed his MBBS in 2005 from Calcutta University where he was granted with Academic Merit Scholarship in 2nd Prof, 3rd Prof Part I, 3rd Prof Part II with honours in Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology & Community Medicine.  He served as Senior Class Assistant in Ophthalmology and General Medicine. He was awarded with Kalidas Chakrabarty Memorial Medal for his outstanding and consistent academic excellence.

He further pursued MD (General Medicine) in 2009 and DM (Medical Gastroenterology) in 2013 from the prestigious West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS). He ranked first in the University Examination of DM.

Dr. Misra served as Senior Resident and RMO cum Clinical Tutor in the Department of Medical Gastroenterology in School of Digestive and Liver Diseases (SDLD) in IPGME & R. He is currently associated with IPGME & R as an Assistant Professor since 2014.
